I had been using Saint-Armand paper for about ten months when I found out
that I'd be visiting Montréal. Once I was there, I decided to get on the
Métro and drop in at Papeterie Saint-Armand unannounced. I loved everything
about that day. It was one of those days.

The entrance wasn't what I expected. Looking into the dark,
open doorway was a bit intimidating, but wonderfully so. Do I just walk in?

I walked through the door and this is what I found. Nobody saw me enter,
so I stood still for about ten minutes watching three people quietly going
about their work. Then I heard a woman's voice: “Can I help you?”
I introduced myself, explained why I was there, and was told, “Sure, I'll show you around.”

Denise introduced me to David, and I pulled up my work online to show him what I was doing with their paper.

As I was leaving, David picked up a large piece of flax paper, folded it into quarters,
handed it to me, and said, “If you come back at a little after five, we can walk over
to a brewpub near here and have a beer.”

To my surprise, the brewpub was St-Ambroise, one of my favourites.
Yes, it was one of those days.
